Police arrest boy, 16, on suspicion of possessing firea*m in Fulham

A 16-year old boy has been apprehended by the Police after being suspected of possessing a “realistic-looking imitation firearm” in Fulham Broadway.

According to Metropolitan Police, the boy was seen walking towards an area full of people with the “weapon”.

The Police made known, investigation has commenced as a line of enquiry reveal the boy was heading to a comic convention.

A statement by the Metropolitan Police on Saturday reads: “A 16-year old boy remains in Police custody after he was arrested by unarmed officers this afternoon on suspicion of possessing realistic-looking imitation firearm in Fulham Broadway.

“It was reported he was displaying a weapon and walking towards a crowded area. No one was injured.

“We strongly advise against people sharing misinformation and images of anyone who has been arrested.

“An investigation has begun into the circumstances, however one line of enquiry is that the boy was on his way to a comic convention.”
