President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated D’Tigress on their 2025 AfroBasket triumph in Cote D’Ivoire on Sunday evening.
Nigeria came from the back to beat Mali in the final 78-64 in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire, on Sunday 3 August, 2025.
The President said, “I am expecting you all, along with the trophy.”
The outcome means Nigeria has now won the AfroBasket title for the fifth consecutive time, and a total of seven (7).
In his congratulatory message on X, President Tinubu wrote: “You did it, girls! @DtigressNG
