Political Activist, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the demise of Solomon Arase, former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), who passed in the early hours of Sunday 31 August, 2025.
The businesswoman said, she “lost a brother, ally and cheerleader”, adding, “he always had my back!”.
Solomon Arase’s passing was made known to Kayode Egbetokun, IGP, by the son of the former IGP.
Aisha Yesufu wrote on X: “So this is why Solomon Arase did not answer my call. He did not reply my message on Thursday. I wondered and said that is so unlike him.
“No matter where he was in the world, he would always return a missed call!Many a times he is the one that calls and he would always say ‘My Sis’ in that his voice.I have lost a brother, an ally, a cheerleader! A mentor!
“He always had my back!My big brother! Death stings!!!!!!Oghenna!!!!”
Solomon Arase served 18th Inspector-General of Police (IGP) from 2015 to 2016.
