APC wins Zamfara House of Assembly bye-election

The governing All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged winner of the concluded Zamfara House of Assembly Kaura-Namoda South bye-election.

Kamilu Sa’idu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner of the Kaura-Namoda South State Constituency by-election in Zamfara State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Lawal Sa’adu of the Federal University Gusau, Returning Officer, announced, Kamilu Sa’idu polled 1,181 votes in the supplementary election to discomfit Muhammad Lawal Kurya of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 194 votes.

The ‘Broom’ accumulated a total of 8,182 votes, while the PDP polled 5,544 votes across the constituency.

With the declaration, Kamilu Sa’idu will now represent Kaura-Namoda South Constituency in the House of Assembly of the ‘Farming Is Our Pride’ State.
