Real Madrid defensive midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni, said, “we’re going to give our all, fight to win to stay in the competition.”
Tchouameni made the statement at a press conference ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup match against Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG).
Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid and Luis Enrique’s PSG will fight for a place in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 when they meet at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Wednesday 9 July, 2025 in their semi final game.
According to Real Madrid official website, at his pre-PSG press conference, Tchouameni said: “We’re working very well to prepare for the PSG game. We’re delighted to be in the semi-finals, but we want more. We have to win the game against PSG, and we’re going to give our all, fight to win to stay in the competition.”
The Frenchman described PSG as a “good team”, saying, “they are a top team in world football”.
PSG are the current Kings of Europe after winning the Uefa Champions League 2024/25. Enrique also guided the Les Parisiens to Coupe De France and Ligue 1 triumphs.
Tchouameni said: “PSG are a good team, with a lot of players I know personally. They’re a top team in world football, recently winning the Champions League. It’s going to be a difficult game, but we have the quality to win it and we have to show that.”

Tchouameni said: “The midfield position is crucial because we have to anticipate what is going to happen. My job is to adapt, it depends on the conditions of each match and the opponent’s game.”

Tchouameni said: “Day by day, we understand more and more what the coach and his staff want. We’re improving on and off the pitch in every game. We have to keep working and improving.”
Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-2 while PSG ousted German Bundesliga 2024/25 winners, Bayern Munich, to reach the queyer finals.
