Kashim Shettima, Vice President, took time to visit Nigeria’s former Military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, who is recovering after being discharged from Hospital, in London.
The visit is happening after the VP paid a condolence visit to the family of Late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed in a clinic in London on Sunday 13 July, 2025 after a a prolonged illness.
Shettima’s visit to Abdulsalami in London was disclosed by Stanley Nkwocha, Spokesman/Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President) on Monday.
Nkwocha disclosed: “While in London, Vice President Kashim Shettima also took time to visit former Military Head of State, Retired General Abdulsalami Abubakar, who is recuperating after being discharged from the hospital.”
Shettima alongside Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, travelled to London to accompany the body of Buhari back to Nigeria. They are expected to return to the country on Tuesday.
