Ukrainian heavyweight boxer, Oleksandr Usyk further sealed his position as one of boxing’s biggests by stopping British heavyweight boxer, Daniel Dubois, in the fifth round to emerge a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion.
In front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, Usyk showcased a masterclass to destroy Dubois’ dreams of being the first Briton to unify the division in the four-belt era.
38-year old Usyk put 28-year old Dubois down two times in the fifth round and the Briton was not able to return to beat the count the second time round.
Usyk, had also stopped Dubois in 2023 and extended his flawless record as a professional to twenty-four (24) triumphs.
The Ukraine told DAZN, British over-the-top sports streaming and entertainment platform, “I’m sorry [Dubois], it’s sport. My people wanted this win.
“Nothing is next. It’s enough. Next, I want to rest. My family, my wife, my children, I want to rest now. Two or three months, I want to just rest.”

Dubois – who discomfited fellow Briton, Anthony Joshua, to defend his IBF title in September – suffered loss for the third time in twenty-five (25) fights as a professional, with each of those losses coming inside the distance.
The White Rabbit reclaimed the IBF title, which was taken from him just weeks after unifying the division in 2023, and added it to his WBA (Super), WBO and WBC belts.

Dubois told DAZN, “I have to commend him on the performance, I gave everything I had. Take no credit away from that man, I’ll be back.
“I was just fighting, trying to pick up round by round. It is what it is.”
