Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Garcia emerge FIFA Club World Cup top scorer

The Real Madrid Spanish striker finished at the top of the scoring charts with four (4) goals and one (1) assist.

Gonzalo Garcia has clinched the top scorer award at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The Real Madrid striker netted four (4) goals, the same number as Di María of Portuguese Primeira Liga side, Benfica, Guirassy of German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund, and Marcos Leonardo of Saudi Professional League side, Al Hilal.

Gonzalo, however, added an assist that broke the deadlock and earned him the award.

The academy graduate’s beautiful performance in the FIFA Club World Cup began in the group stage, where he found the back of the net against Simone Inzaghi’s Al Hilal and Salzburg and provided an assist for Arda Güler against Pachuca.

In the round of 16, he netted the winner against Italian Serie A side, Juventus, and in the quarter-finals, he set Xabi Alonso’s Los Blancos on the path to triumph against Borussia Dortmund.

Four goals and one assist in the FIFA Club World Cup sealed off an excellent season in which he had already been Primera Federación’s top scorer with Castilla.

Real Madrid were booted out of the tournament by Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) in the semi finals 4-0 at MetLife Stadium.
