Dangote Rice Limited and Niger Foods Security Systems and Logistics Company Ltd. have signed a ₦1.8 trillion Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Lagos on Wednesday 23 July, 2025.
The agreement was signed at the office of the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, in Lagos.
Niger Foods will will ensure the supply of high-quality paddy rice to Dangote Rice Limited to promote sustainable agricultural development and food sufficiency in Nigeria, according to the agreement.
At the signing of the MoU, Sammy Adigun, Niger Foods Chairman, said Niger State is expected to develop 25,000 hectares of commercial rice farms, as well as, help 50,000 local farmers.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Founder and President of Dangote Group, said, the signing of the agreement is coming following a series of discussions aimed at promoting food production and ensuring food sufficiency in Nigeria.
