Tottneham Hotspur has announced the signing of attacking midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, from West Ham United, subject to work permit.
Kudus has signed a long-term contract and will wear the number 20 shirt.
The Ghana international was born in Nima in Accra, Ghana; Kudus spent his early years in the West African country with Strong Tower FC before joining the Right to Dream Academy in 2012.
Before turning 18, he moved to Europe and joined Nordsjaelland in 2018 and, after recording 57 senior appearances and netting 14 goals for the Danish club, he bagged a move to Ajax in July, 2020.
Kudus recorded an immediate impact for Ajax where he recorded four goal involvements in his opening three encounters. In his first season, he helped Ajax clinch the Eredivisie title and the Dutch Cup (KNVB Cup).
While in the Netherlands, the Ghanaian attacker recorded 87 senior appearances in all competitions, netting 27 times, and, in 2021/22, helped the team emerge Kings of the Netherlands once again.
The next year, Kudus enjoyed a fruitful campaign, netting 18 goals in all competitions, encompassing four in the UEFA Champions League.
He moved to West Ham United in August, 2023 and made his Premier League debut the following month as a substitute before scoring two goals on his full debut, which came in the UEFA Europa League.
Having featured for Ghana at Under-20 level, he clinched his first senior cap in November, 2019, and netted on his debut in 2-0 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win over South Africa. He has 42 caps and has scored 12 goals for his country to date.
Kudus emerged Ghana Footballer of the Year in each of the last two years.
