Real Madrid have presented Spanish defender, Álvaro Carreras, at Madrid City on Tuesday 15 July, 2025.
The unveiling of the left-back kicked off with the screening of a video with the best images of the player.
Carreras is retuning to Santiago Bernabeu from Portuguese Primeira Liga club, Benfica.
According to the Club’s official website, President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, said: “Today we present another of those great players who has chosen Real Madrid to build their dream and who arrives to help us to be better.
“Today we welcome Álvaro Carreras. Dear Álvaro, congratulations and welcome to a home you know well. Today, you return to Real Madrid, and you do it at this sports city that will bring very special memories to you and your family.
“Because you arrived at Real Madrid City in 2017, when you were just a 14-year-old boy. Here you trained for three seasons and learnt what it means to be part of the most successful, most loved and admired club in the world.”
On the return of Carreras to Real Madrid, Perez said: “Your dream, like that of so many young players, was to one day play for Real Madrid.
“And to do so, like some of those who will be your teammates from now on, you decided to cross borders to become the player you are today and to fulfil your dream of defending this crest and this shirt.”
Perez continued: “Dear madridistas, today one of our youth players comes home. A player who has grown up with the values that are transmitted every day at Real Madrid City and which are the pillars of all the success achieved throughout our history: hard work, constant improvement, companionship, respect, humility, commitment, dedication, and solidarity.
