NPFL: ‘Players deserve the best but they are living like jobless men’ – Ideye

Former Super Eagles forward, Brown Aide Ideye, has cried out over the unpleasant conditions players in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) go through just to represent their respective clubs.

The former Greek club, Olympiacos, striker, said, “players deserve the best but they are living like jobless men.”

The Enyimba Football Club player added, some of these players have “wife, kids and family to take care of.”

This is coming after the forward called out his club, Enyimba FC, over unpaid match bonuses for the 2024/25 season.

He said, it is stressful having to travel from Aba to Kano by road, and then having to field in a game in less than 24 hours.

Brown Ideye wrote on X: “Maybe because no be ur friend or brother dey this situation, so you can be typing bs.

“This players deserve the best. But they’re living like jobless men. Some of them have wife, kids and family to take care of. Do you even know what it takes to travel from Aba to Kano by road and play a game the next day?
