Nigeria and Egypt sign MoU focused on route expansion, investment in aviation infrastructure

Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, made known, Nigeria and Egypt have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on “technical exchange, route expansion, and investment in aviation infrastructure”.

The signing of the MoU happened as the Nigerian Aviation Minister received Dr. Badr Abdellatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Abuja on Monday.

Keyamo described the agreement as a “strategic milestone” for the bilateral cooperation of both countries.

Taking to his official X account, Keyamo said: “I received Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdellatty, in Abuja. The purpose of the meeting was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both countries which we did.

“The agreement was conceived during the International Civil Aviation Negotiations Conference in 2024. It represents a strategic milestone in our bilateral cooperation, focusing on technical exchange, route expansion, and investment in aviation infrastructure.”
