Current President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, and his wife, Grace Yemisi, are celebrating a whopping forty-one (41) years of marriage.
Mr Adesina described marrying Yemisi as “the best decision of my life.”
He said, he would not have attained the position he is currently in life without her.
Adesina wrote: “I congratulate my darling wife, Grace Yemisi, as we celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary today. Marrying you is the best decision of my life.
“I would not be who I am today without you. Thank you for your love, wise counsels, sacrifices and incredible support. I love you!”
Akinwumi Adesina, who assumed office as AfDB President in September 2015, will leave office in September 2025 for Sidi Ould Tah.
Sidi Ould Tah of Mauritania emerged new AfDB President in May, 2025.
