Leonardo scored twice to help Al Hilal defeat Manchester City 4-3 in the round of 16 match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 at Camping World Stadium in Downtown Orlando, Florida on Tuesday 1 July, 2025.

The Saudi Professional League club described defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, as “the Senegalese Warrior” after the former SSC Napoli player had placed Simone Inzaghi’s Al Hilal in front in again with the third goal in the 94th minute, before Erling Haaland levelled to make it 3-3 in the 104th minute.

Following the win over their Premier League opponents, Al Hilal described itself as the “best club in the world”.

Inzaghi will now guide Al Hilal in the quarter finals of the tournament against Brazilian side, Fluminense, who stunned Inter with a 2-0 win.

HC: Maybe Al Hilal can keep that title ‘best club in the world’ for now. Afterall, they just knocked out the defending champions.
