Living in the United Kingdom (UK) is “getting harder and more expensive” as the country’s inflationa rises again to “3.6%”.
Under the Conservatives, inflation was at “2%”, Kemi Badenoch, Leader of the opposition said.
Economics Observatory tweeted: “In the year to June 2025, the UK Consumer Prices Index rose by 3.6%—0.2 percentage points higher than the previous month.
“The UK now has the highest inflation rate in the G7.”
Kemi Badenoch quoted Economic Observatory’s tweet and commented: “UK Inflation is up again to 3.6% – the highest in the G7.
“The Conservatives left inflation at the target 2%. Under Labour life is getting harder and more expensive.
“They are making everything worse. And tax rises are coming this autumn.”
