Senator Shehu Sani, has called for a “stop” to the request for the creation of new States, saying, it has “complications”.
He added, instead of creating new States, “people should learn to live in peace with each other.”
The Senator described the request for the creation of new States as a “waste of time and resources”.
His statement is coming after the House of Representatives Committee received formal requests for the creation of new States across Nigeria.
Senator Sani said: “People asking for the creation of new states should stop wasting their time and resources.They should learn to live with each other in peace. Read the constitution to know the complications. Its not something which the President will just proclaim or announce.”
