Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State, announced, the Southwestern State and the United States (US) are set to strengthen relationship, especially in the areas of trade, security, education.
The Governor made the announcement following his meeting with the new U.S. Consul General, Mr. Rick Swart, at Lagos House, Marina on Monday 28 July, 2025.
Governor Sanwo-Olu posted on X: “Earlier today, I met with the new U.S. Consul General, Mr. Rick Swart, at Lagos House, Marina.
“It was an opportunity to welcome him to Lagos, and we discussed ways to strengthen the relationship between Lagos and the United States, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, education, and security.”
