Umar Namadi, Executive Governor of Jigawa State, announced, his government joined the Qatari Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Ali Bin Ghanim Al-Hajri, along with Sheikh Hamdi Abdou, the Country Director of qatar Charity, to flag off empowerment of the State’s citizens.
The Qatar Charity supported sixty (60) beneficiaries from across the Northeastern State with new livelihood equipments.
On behalf of the Charity Organization, the Governor handed more than 20 passenger tricycles, 20 cargo tricycles, and 20 grinding machines to the beneficiaries.
Governor Namadi made known via X: “Today at the Government House Dutse, I joined the Qatari Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Ali Bin Ghanim Al-Hajri, along with Sheikh Hamdi Abdou, the Country Director of qatar Charity @qcharityglobal to flag-off empowerment to our citizens.
“As part of our enduring collaboration, the charity organisation supported 60 hardworking beneficiaries from across Jigawa State with new livelihood equipment.
“On behalf of the Qatar Charity we handed over 20 passenger tricycles, 20 cargo tricycles, and 20 grinding machines to the beneficiaries—real tools that can help people start small businesses and earn a steady income.
“We also received 100 tents to support emergency response, especially during flood season.
“To show our appreciation, the State Executive Council approved the naming of two township roads and a new Mega Tsangaya School in honour of Qatar’s leadership.
“This isn’t just about giving—it’s about building something meaningful, based on mutual respect and a shared commitment to lifting people up. Jigawa is proud to be part of that effort.”
