Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, visited the Kofsopah Dam site following the “tragic” flooding in Yola.
Fintiri said, he firsthand visited the Dam to “assess concerns” that links it with the flooding in the State’s Capital.
The Governor said, his heat is still with the families that lost loved ones, as well as, those affected.
Governor Fintiri made known via X: “I visited the Kofsopah Dam site in Fufore to personally assess concerns linking it to the recent tragic flooding in Yola.
“Preliminary expert findings show no threat from the dam. Still, we’re deploying more professionals to ensure a thorough technical review. Our commitment is to facts, not fear.
“My heart remains with the families who lost loved ones and those affected. We will continue to support the victims and work to address blockages and other contributing factors to safeguard our communities.”
