Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Executive Governor of Adamawa State, has expressed “deep gratitude” to the government and people of Bayelsa State for a ₦100 million donation through “brother” Governor, Duoye Diri.
Governor Fintiri said, the donation, received on Wednesday 30 July, 2025, will be used in “helping our people rebuild, recover, and rise stronger.”
The flash floods which struck some communities in Yola claimed some lives and left other injured; Fintiri ordered for more relief materials at IDP Camp.

Taking to X, Governor Fintiri said: “Today, we received a generous donation of ₦100 million from the government and good people of Bayelsa State through my brother, Governor @govdouyediri, in solidarity with Adamawa during this time of trial.
“We are deeply grateful for this act of compassion. It speaks to the true spirit of Nigerian brotherhood. We will continue to ensure every kobo goes into helping our people rebuild, recover, and rise stronger. On behalf of the government and the people of Adamawa State—thank you.”
