Former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has passed in a clinic in London on Sunday 13 July, 2025.
This was disclosed via a statement signed by Garba Shehu on Sunday 13 July, 2025.
The Statement reads: “INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAJI’UN
“The family has announced the passing of the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon, in a clinic in London.
“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”
Buhari was the military head of state of Nigeria from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985; he also served as the President of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023.
