Chinese Deputy MFA visits Nigerian Embassy in Beijing, signs condolence register in honour of former President Buhari

Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs visited the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing to sign the condolence register personally in honour of the Late former President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Former Special Adviser to the former President, Bashir Ahmad, wrote on X: “In a remarkable show of respect, the Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs visited the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing to personally sign the condolence register in honour of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Similar gestures of solidarity and tribute are being observed around the world.

“A friend working with the President of Zimbabwe confirmed to me that the Zimbabwean leader also paid a solemn visit to the Nigerian Embassy to offer his personal condolences.

“May Allah grant Baba eternal rest. Ameen.”

Former Minister of Petroleum, Muhammadu Buhari, passed on Sunday 13 July, 2025 and was laid to rest on Tuesday 15 July, 2025 at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
