German attacking midfielder, Jamal Musiala, has undergone a successful surgery after his return from the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the United States of America (USA).
The Germany international picked up a serious injury during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 quarter final match between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) which finished with the French Ligue 1 2024/25 winners emerging victorious by two (2) goals to zero (0).
Luis Enrique’s PSG won the match despite losing two men; Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians actually found the back of the net twice, through defender Dayot Upamecano and forward Harry Kane, but, was ruled out by VAR.
22-year old Musiala suffered a fractured fibula as a result of a broken and dislocated ankle and was replaced at half-time.
He will commence his first rehabilitation sessions tomorrow, Tuesday, and will be unavailable to the German record champions for the next few months.
