Premier League outfit, Arsenal, have sent its “thoughts” to the family of Diogo Jota, and everyone connected with Liverpool Football Club over the death of the Portuguese forward.
The Portugal forward alongside his brother, Andre Silva, died in a car crash in Spain.
Arsenal wrote on its official X account: “We are all members of the footballing family and on days like today, we support each other.
“Rest in peace, Diogo and André. Our thoughts continue to be with your family, loved ones and everyone associated with Liverpool Football Club.”
Local Police say, the footballer’s car ran off the road after tyre blowout while trying to overtake another car.
Diogo Jota (1996 – 2025) helped Liverpool win the Premier League 2024/25 – the club’s 20th; and was very pivotal in Portugal’s Uefa Nations League 2024/25 triumph.
According to BBC: “Diogo Jota had recently undergone surgery, so was driving from Porto to Santander to catch a ferry to England for pre-season training.”
