Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, said, he is expecting PSG to play in their “best form”.
The Belgian head coach said, “I expect PSG in their best form”, describing the Les Parisiens as a “complete team”.
It is a European top showown in the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-finals as the German Kings lock horns with the French Kings on Saturday evening.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) will fight for a place in the semi finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 when they meet at the Mercedes-Benz multi-purpose Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday 5 July, 2025 at 17:00 (WAT).
So far, the Bavarians have shown a lot of passion at the FIFA Club World Cup; with a 4-2 victory over Brazilian side, Flamengo, the German Bundesliga 2024/25 winners reached the quarter finals of the tournament.
And in the round of 16, Luis Enrique’s PSG made light work of Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, walloping the Major League Soccer (MLS) side by four (4) goals to nil (0) to reach the last eight (8).
According to the German Club’s official website, at his pre-PSG conference, Kompany said: “I expect PSG in their best form, they’re a complete team. It’s a fantastic challenge for us, I always like to play against the best opponents.
“If I were neutral, I’d like to watch the game. I haven’t seen a lot of teams that play as intensely over 90 minutes as Paris. We’re fired up for the duel and the chance to beat them tomorrow. To get to play against them is just awesome.”
Forward Harry Kane said: “We know their qualities and have to be prepared. We can beat any opponents if we’re in top form.”
The English sharpshooter netted a brace to help Bayern discomfited Flamengo.
PSG are seriously enjoying their season in the history of the club; winning treble – Coupe De France, Ligue 1 and Uefa Champions League 2024/25.
On PSG, Kompany said: “We’ve followed their season with a lot of interest. It was a nice story because not everything went perfectly at first, but they kept fighting and believed in their path.”
The French side are looking to crown their beautiful season with the FIFA Club World Cup glory.
Kompany added: “We’re up against Europe’s best club, but we’ll hit the gas again and win.”
