Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has issued a serious warning after the recent threat to Peter Obi on Saturday by Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State.
The Governor threatened the former Governor of Anambra State not to visit Edo State.
The threat came on the birthday of the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party on Saturday 19 July, 2025.
Atiku said, “Let it be known that a threat against Peter Obi or any of us is a threat against ALL of us!”
Both Atiku and Obi are members of the Coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In his reaction to the threat, Management Expert, Pat Utomi, asked, “do they realize how that sounds to potential investors”.
In another reaction from Olumide Akpata, 2024 Edo State Governorship candidate for Labour Party (LP), he said, he thought it was “fake, perhaps an AI-generated video”, but, later found out it was real.
Akpata said, Obi does not need anyone’s permission to visit Edo State.
