Real Madrid has been recognised by the World Sports Association (WSA).
Spanish La Liga club, Real Madrid, have been honoured with the Reputation D’Or 2023/24, presented by the World Sports Association (WSA) in recognition of the club’s as possessing the best reputation worldwide.
Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueno, received the award from Thomas Di Gianantonio, WSA President, during a ceremony held at Real Madrid City.
Since 2020, the Reputation D’Or has been awarded annually, and this year’s prize showcases Real Madrid’s exemplary reputation and its positive influence on and off the pitch.
The award acknowledges how the club utilizes its platform to support good intentions, as well as, promote social progress, establishing a lasting legacy beyond football.
This recognition highlights Real Madrid’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its position as a global ambassador for positive change.
This achievement is coming after the Union of European Football Associations (Uefa) released its ranking following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season with Real Madrid holding the top spot.
In the latest Uefa Ranking, Real Madrid tops, with English Premier League club, Manchester City, and German Bundesliga club, Bayern Munich, emerging second and third respectively.
The Los Blancos have parted ways with Italian manager, Carlo Ancelotti, after a season without a trophy, and announced the appointment of Spanish manager, Xabi Alonso, as the club’s new head coach.
Alonso, former German club, Bayer Leverkusen, manager, led the Black and Reds for three (3) season and clinched three (3) trophies with the club.
