Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, welcomes fellow Heads of Government, business executives, global investors to Abuja, the nation’s Capital, for inaugural West Africa Economic Summit 2025 (WAES 2025).
The two-day event will kick off on Friday 20 and conclude on Saturday 21 June, 2025.
The President tagged WAES 2025, “A bold step toward a prosperous, integrated West Africa powered by trade, innovation and our people”.
In his welcome message via his official X account, President Tinubu wrote: “In keeping with my promise to convene a regional economic summit leveraging the opportunities and strengths of the West African economy, I welcome fellow Heads of Government, regional and international business executives, global investors, and the public to Abuja for the inaugural West Africa Economic Summit starting today.

The Summit is scheduled to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nigeria.
