Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, announced, he commissioned the newly reconstructed Awokoya Road and Igbeba–Talbort–Yidi Lane in Ijebu Ode Local Government.
The project was taken up with the “clear understanding of its strategic importance to the daily lives of residents, businesses, and commuters in Ijebu Ode.”
Abiodun said, the commissioned road project is “yet another demonstration” of his administration’s “unwavering commitment to sustainable infrastructure development” across the Southwestern State.
The reconstruction of these roads will help improve “accessibility”, as well as, “enhance safety, eases traffic flow, and contributes to the economic vibrancy of the area”.
Governor Abiodun made known: “Today, we commissioned the newly reconstructed Awokoya Road and Igbeba–Talbort–Yidi Lane in Ijebu Ode Local Government. This is yet another demonstration of our unwavering commitment to sustainable infrastructure development across Ogun State.
“We undertook this project with a clear understanding of its strategic importance to the daily lives of residents, businesses, and commuters in Ijebu Ode. The previously degraded and flood-prone stretch has now been transformed into a modern, motorable road complete with proper drainage, signage, and pedestrian safety features.
“The reconstruction of these roads not only improves accessibility but also enhances safety, eases traffic flow, and contributes to the economic vibrancy of the area.”
These road projects are part of the “broader urban renewal efforts under the ISEYA development agenda.”
The Governor expressed gratitude to the “good” people of Ijebu-Ode LGA for exercising “patience”, as well as, their “support” all through the execution phase of the project.
He promised, no part of Ogun State will be left behind “in pursuit of transformational development”.

We thank the good people of Ijebu Ode for their patience and support during the execution phase of this project. As we commission these roads today, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that no part of Ogun State is left behind in our pursuit of inclusive and transformational development.”
