Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, announced, the newly constructed 8-lane Arterial Road N5 in Abuja has been commissioned on Friday 20 June, 2025.
The former Governor of Rivers State expressed gratitude to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu “for his support always”.
The commissioning of the road is coming after the Minister commissioned the Mabushi Bus Terminal in the FCT.
Wike said, the Mabushi Bus Terminal will ease the stress of queueing for buses for residents of the FCT, as well as, “limit this car robbery, popularly known as ‘one chance.’”
The Minister also thanked the Secretary to the Federal Government to Nigeria, Senator George Akume, for representing the President at the commissioning of the road.
He made known, another project will be commssioned on Monday.

Wike announced on his official X account: “Yesterday, we commissioned the newly constructed 8-lane Arterial Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo way) from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road 3 (RR3).
“I thank Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his support always.
“I also thank the SGF, Senator George Akume, who represented the President.
“On Monday, we will move to Bwari for the commissioning of another project.”
