Kwankwaso ‘saddened’ after ’12’ travellers k*lled in ‘mob action’ in Plateau State

Former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed his sadness following the “barbaric mob action” on wedding-goers in Plateau State.

The attack, which happened in Mangu local government area of Plateau, led to the death of at least “12” travellers.

Kwankwaso called for action from authorities in Plateau State and the Federal Government to ensure that the culprits of this attack are arrested and prosecuted.

Also, he extended his condolences to the families of the victims of the explosion that happened in Kano State.

Kwankwaso wrote on his official X account: “I am saddened by the barbaric mob action on wedding-goers in Plateau State, which has resulted in the death of at least 12 travelers from Basawa community of Zaria local government area of Kaduna State.

“This attack in Mangu local government area of Plateau is another sad episode of peaceful travelers losing their lives in the hands of violent elements along transit routes.

“Authorities in Plateau State and the Federal Government must ensure that the perpetrators of this attack are fished out and prosecuted.

“Traditional, religious and government stakeholders must also prioritise orienting the people against such mob actions.

“My deepest sympathies go to the bereaved families.

“I also extend my condolences to the families of those affected by the explosion in Kano. May the Almighty Allah grant them eternal rest.”
