Manchester City finished as toppers of Group G with a beautiful win over Juventus on Thursday at Camping World Stadium, Downtown Orlando in Florida.

Both giants plunged into the final Preliminary showdown with two victories, however, the Premier League club were in dominant shape and put on one of their most complete displays in the last twelve (12) months.

The Cityzens led by Rodri, the current Ballon D’Or holder, Manchester City placed their Italian opponents under pressure from the get-go, and Jeremy Doku, linking beautifully with Rayan Ait-Nouri, got the scoring opened early, in the 9th minute.

A loss in focus from City goalkeeper, Ederson, made the path for Teun Koopmeiners to level the game two (2) minutes later, however, a funny own-goal from Pierre Kalulu happened to gift the English side the cushion their effort deserved.

Norwegian sharpshooter, Erling Braut Haaland, came on from the bench at the break and netted his 300th career goal in the 52nd minute before playing the provider for English midfielder, Phil Foden, in the 69th minute, to make it 4-1.

Savinho netted an amazing fifth goal in the 75th minute before Dusan Vlahovic netted late, in the 84th minute, converting K. Yildiz’ assist, for the Bianconeri.

With this outcome, by ending at the zenith, Manchester City have handed themselves what looks like an easier route through the knockout stages, placing themselves on the same side of the draw as Chelsea – this tells that, there cannot be an all-Premier League final.

Spanish manager, Pep Guardiola, will now guide his side against Saudi Professional League club, Al Hilal, who finished runners-up from group H, on Monday in the round of 16.
