The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in its Eid-el-kabir message, urged all Muslim Faithful to pray for “continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity’ if our dear country.”
“We urge all Muslim faithful to leverage the occasion of this year’s celebration to rekindle their faith in Almighty Allah, and pray for the continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity of our dear nation”, the APC wrote.
In its felicitations with Nigerians on Eid-al-adha 2025, the ‘Broom’ Party said, “it symbolises faith, obedience, sacrifice and devotion to God”, adding, “in the spirit of the season, it behoves us to extend hands of fellowship and kindness to the poor and needy around us”.
The Party made its message known via a Press Statement titled ‘Eid-el-kabir: APC felicitates with Nigerians’, signed by Felix Morka Esq., National Publicity Secretary, APC on Friday 6 June, 2025.
The Press Statement reads: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) rejoices with Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-kabir.
Also known as Eid-al-adha, Eid-el-kabir commemorates the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, Ismail (Ishmael), as an act of utmost obedience to Almighty Allah.
It symbolises faith, obedience, sacrifice and devotion to God, priceless virtues that are that are central to our wholesome spiritual growth and development.
We urge all Muslim Faithful to leverage the occasion of this year’s celebration to rekindle their faith in Almighty Allah, and pray for the continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity of our dear nation.
In the spirit of the season, it behoves us to extend hands of fellowship and kindness to the poor and needy around us.
