Edo State: Governor Okpebholo inaugurates Boundary Committee ‘to address land and boundary disputes’

Executive Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, announced, he has inaugurated the Edo State Boundary Committee with the mission to “proactively address land and boundary disputes threatening peace and development across our state”.

The Governor said, these issues “have disrupted lives and stalled progress”, and assured, “we are putting a stop to that”.

Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, Deputy Governor of Edo State, has been appointed by Okpebholo to lead the Committee “with a clear charge: resolve disputes swiftly, fairly, and in full partnership with stakeholders and communities”.

Via his official X account, Governor Okpebholo announced: “I inaugurated the Edo State Boundary Committee to proactively address land and boundary disputes threatening peace and development across our state.

“These issues, whether between local governments or with neighboring states—have disrupted lives and stalled progress. We are putting a stop to that.

“I have appointed my Deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, to lead this Committee with a clear charge: resolve disputes swiftly, fairly, and in full partnership with stakeholders and communities.

“This is Practical Governance in action, preserving peace, protecting lives, and unlocking the full potential of Edo State.

“A New Edo Has Risen.”
