Midfielder, Jorginho, has parted ways with Premier League club, Arsenal.
Arsenal has confirmed that it have reached a mutual agreement with Jorginho to terminate his contract with immediate effect to become a free agent.
Jorginho, 33 years old, moved to the Emirates Stadium from Chelsea in January 2023 and recorded seventy-eight (78) overall appearances in all competitions for the Gunners during his time with the club.
Heavily experienced Jorginho, born in Brazil, but, represents the Italy Senior National Team, made a beautiful impact in only his second start for us, with his stunning stoppage-time shot helping secure a 4-2 Premier League win at Aston Villa.
Jorginho, in no distant time, emerged a highly respected part of the squad. His natural leadership skills, coupled with his control in midfield, brilliant positioning and extensive, high-quality passing, helped him become an important and intrinsic member of the Gunners.
The midfielder’s profound career emcompasses his time with Chelsea; he also fielded for Hellas Verona, as well as, SSC Napoli, in the Italian Serie A.
At the international stage, he amassed fifty-seven (57) appearances for Italy, and emerged an essential force as the Azzurri clinched the postponed Euro 2020.
In 2021, the midfielder was named Uefa Men’s Player of the Year and emerged third in the Ballon d’Or.
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League 2024/25 after accumulating 74 points, 10 points behind winners, Liverpool.
The Premier League 2024/25 title was Liverpool’s 20th, same as Manchester United who struggled all through the season, finishing 15th on the table, the worst in United’s history.

Witjh an aggregate of 3-1, Luis Enrique’s young Les Parisiens ousted the Gunners from the Champions League.
PSG went ahead to lift the trophy. It was the French side’s first ever Champions League triumph as Enrique’s Les Parisiens finished the season with a treble, including the Coupe De France 2024/25 and Ligue 1 2024/25.
