United Kingdom: PM Starmer to end dependence on foreign labour

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, has announced, his Labour government will put an end to the country’s “dependence on foreign labour”.

The UK PM’s statement is coming after he promised the people of Britain, that his government will take back control of the country’s borders. He said, “mark my words: I will take back control of our borders.”

Starmer said, by taking back control of the country’s borders “migration numbers will fall.”

He said, “For too long, Britain has been addicted to cheap overseas labour”, adding, “I’m putting our young people first, investing in skills they need”.

Leader of the opposition, Kemi Badenoch, believes, PM Starmer’s “efforts won’t stop the boats”, adding, “People will still try their luck knowing they can stay in Britain if granted asylum so it won’t get rid of asylum hotels in the UK”.
