At the conclusion of the match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, the Los Blancos President, Florentino Perez, presented Luka Modrić with a diamond and gold club insignia.
Immediately the Santiago Bernabéu had finished its unforgettable tribute to Croatian midfield maestro, Luka Modrić, on the day of the match against Real Sociedad, the Madrid legend and the President posed on the pitch with the 28 titles the club’s Captain has clinched in his thirteen (13) years at Real Madrid.

Modric captained Real Madrid to a 2-0 triumph over Real Sociedad in the La Liga match at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday 24 May, 2025; it was the midfielder’s last game for the Spanish giants.
French forward, Kylian Mbappe, netted both goals for the home side in the 38th and 83rd minutes.
Luka Modric joined Real Madrid from English Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur, in 2012, and has fielded more than 350 times for the Los Blancos.
At Real Madrid, Modric won four (4) La Liga titles (2016/17, 2019/20, 2021/22 and 2023/24), two (2) Copa Del Rey (2013/14 and 2022/23), six (6) Uefa Champions League (2013/14, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2021/22 and 2023/24), among other major honours.
