‘Politics should be fought through the ballot box, not surveillance and lawfare’ – Convo between Rubio and Truss

Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Liz Truss, is of the opinion that, “Politics should be fought through the ballot box, not surveillance and lawfare.”

Her statement is coming as a response to US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio’s statement, saying, “Germany just gave its spy agency new powers to surveil the opposition.”

Rubio added, “That’s not democracy—it’s tyranny in disguise”, and warned, “Germany should reverse course”.

The US Secretary of State tweeted: “Germany just gave its spy agency new powers to surveil the opposition. That’s not democracy—it’s tyranny in disguise.

“What is truly extremist is not the popular AfD—which took second in the recent election—but rather the establishment’s deadly open border immigration policies that the AfD opposes.

“Germany should reverse course.”

Liz Truss quoted Rubio’s tweet and commented: “The left and the bureaucracy are playing a dangerous game trying to suppress parties like the AFD.

“It will only make the public more frustrated with huge failings over mass migration, the economy and Net Zero.

“Politics should be fought through the ballot box, not surveillance and lawfare.”
