Spanish La Liga giants, Real Madrid C. F., have officially confirmed that Xabi Alonso will be the Real Madrid head coach for the next three seasons, from 1 June 2025, until 30 June 2028.
Xabi Alonso is a legend of Real Madrid and one of the best players in the history of world football. He fielded 236 times for the Los Blancos between 2009 and 2014, clinching six (6) titles within time: the tenth European Cup in Lisbon, 1 European Super Cup, 1 LaLiga title, 2 Copas del Rey and 1 Spanish Super Cup.
Alonso, with the Spain National Football Team, won the World Cup (2010) and 2 European Championships (2008 and 2012) in 113 international caps. The Spaniard kicked off his coaching career in the Real Madrid academy set-up, managing the Under-12s for the 2018-2019 campaign and winning the league and the Torneo de Campeones.
He is making a return to Real Madrid as one of the greatest coaches in the world after making history at German Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen, where he won the league, the cup and the German Super Cup over three (3) seasons.

Xabi Alonso will be unveiled on Monday 26 May, 2025 as the new Real Madrid manager at an event held at Real Madrid City.
Before the day of unveiling, Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid, will host Xabi Alonso for the protocol signing ceremony, where he will sign on a deal that will keep him at Santiago Bernabeu for the next three (3) seasons.
