Remo Stars Sports Club have been crowned the new Kings of Nigeria after coming from behind to beat Ikorodu City 4-1 in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State, on Sunday 11 May, 2025.
T. Oyedokun scored for Ikorodu City in the 15th minute, but, the hosts levelled in the 38th minute through A. Sikiru, and S. Ibrahim netted the second in the 41st minute to take the home side in front.
Coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s Sky Blue Stars scored their third and fourth goals through B. Martins and O. Adebayo in the 48th and 67th minutes respectively.
Following their beautiful home win, Remo Stars Sports Club, founded in 2010, were crowned new Champions of Nigeria; its the Club’s first ever honour since its creation 15 years ago
Remo Stars become the 21st club to win Nigeria’s top division.
