Liverpool Trophy Parade: Club working with Police after ‘serious incident’, send ‘thoughts and prayers’ to victims

Liverpool Football Club has announced, it is working closely with the Merseyside Police following “serious incident” that occurred during the club’s trophy parade on Water Street on Monday 26 May, 2025.

The Club sent “thoughts and prayers” to victims of the unfortunate incident.

“We will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities who are dealing with this incident”, the new Champions assured.

Liverpool’s Premier League 2024/25 triumph celebrations on Monday evening descended into chaos after a car collided with pedestrians in the city center, leaving nearly fifty (50) seriously injured, including children.

A white British man, 53 years of age, believed to be the driver of the vehicle was arrested at he scene of the incident on Water Street.

Liverpool lifted the Premier League 2024/25 trophy, emerging new Kings of England, after finishing the season with 84 points. It is the Reds 20th title, same as Manchester United, who performed way below expectation, finished 15th with 42 points.

Liverpool (X/@LFC) wrote: “We are in direct contact with Merseyside Police regarding the incident on Water Street which happened towards the end of the trophy parade earlier this evening.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this serious incident.

“We will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities who are dealing with this incident.”
