Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski, has said, he is “very proud to be part of this team” after his side’s easy win on Sunday.
In the last game of the La Liga 2024/25, Barcelona made light work of Athletic Club, winning by three (3) goals to nil (0) at the magnificent Estadio San Mamés, Bilbao.
Lewandowski netted a brace for Hansi Flick’s Catalans in the 14th and 17th minutes before Dani Olmo sealed victory for the visitors in the 4th minute of additional time from the penalty spot.
The result means Barcelona finished with 84 points, three (3) points ahead of second-placed Read Madrid, who also emerged victorious 2-0 in their last game against Real Sociedad on Saturday.
French forward, Kylian Mbappe, netted both goals for the Los Blancos in the encounter that took place at Santiago Bernabeu, with two legends of the club, Luka Modrić and Carlo Ancelotti, making their last appearances for the Spanish giants.

In his post-victory comments, Lewandowski said as posted on Barcelona official X account (@FCBarcelona): “I think that was very important for us as well because we know that it’s the last game and it’s always nice to say goodbye for this season to our fans with a victory.
“I’m very proud to be part of this team, of this Club, it’s been something amazing and I’m trying to do my best not only with the goal but also with my attitude on and off the pitch because we have so many young players and we have to take care of them.”
The La Liga 2024/25 title is Hansi Flick’s first League win in his first season as manager of Barcelona Football Club.
