China has made known its readiness “to work with the international community to continue to play a constructive role in the de-escalation of the ongoing tensions.”
Tensions between India and Pakistan heightened on Wednesday with more than ten (10) deaths on both sides.
China said, it “finds India’s military operation early this morning regrettable”, expressing its concern about the ongoing fighting between India and Pakistan, it said through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spox, Lin Jian, “China opposes all forms of terrorism. We urge both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability, remain calm, exercise restraint, and refrain from taking action that may further complicate the situation”.
Lin Jian said: “China finds India’s military operation early this morning regrettable. We are concerned about the ongoing situation between India and Pakistan. India and Pakistan are and will always be each other’s neighbors. They’re both China’s neighbors as well. China opposes all forms of terrorism. We urge both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability, remain calm, exercise restraint, and refrain from taking action that may further complicate the situation. We stand ready to work with the international community to continue to play a constructive role in the de-escalation of the ongoing tensions.”
United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has expressed his frets following the escalation JN tension between both side, and said, “military solution is no solution.”
