India V Pakistan: Both sides agree to ‘full and immediate ceasefire’

India and Pakistan have agreed to “full and immediate ceasefire.”

This was made known by the President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, he said both sides came to agreement to ceasefire “after a long night of talks.”

A deadly terrorist attack in Indian-administered Kashmir’s picturesque Pahalgam area in April has brought India and Pakistan once again to the brink of war. The nuclear armed South Asian neighbors have attacked each other this week with missiles and drones in a sudden flare-up of a decades-old feud that’s being watched with concern by leaders around the world.

Following their agreement to a “full and immediate ceasefire”, the US President congratulated both countries “for using common sense and great intelligence”.

President Trump said: “After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
