FSU Shooting: Suspect makes first appearance in Court after weeks in hospital

The suspect, 20-year-old, who allegedly killed two and wounded several others in a mass shooting on the Florida State University (FSU) campus last month made his first appearance in court on Tuesday after weeks in the hospital.

The suspect, Phoenix Ikner, student of Florida State University (FSU), was shot and wounded by officers just minutes after he allegedly opened fire on the Tallahassee campus on April 17, officials disclosed.

Ikner was discharged from the hospital on Monday and moved to a detention facility on two counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder, Tallahassee police revealed.

Ikner was held on no bond and is banned from making contact to any victims, their families or potential witnesses.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
