Burkina Faso: Captain Traore receives delivery of agro-pastoral equipment and inputs worth more than 104bn FCFA to ‘achieve food self-sufficiency’

President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, announced, he received delivery of agro-pastoral equipment and inputs, with a total value of more than 104 billion FCFA, with the aim “to provide our brave producers with substantial means to achieve food self-sufficiency”.

The Burkinabé Leader made known, he laid “the foundation stone of the cashew apple processing plant and the veterinary medicine manufacturing unit” in Bobo-Dioulasso, saying, the move is “materialization of our vision of a Burkina Faso moving towards true industrialization”.

Captain Traore (X/@CapitaineIb226) made known: “At the end of my stay, from May 21 to 24, 2025, in Bobo-Dioulasso, I leave satisfied with the actions we have carried out for the benefit of our valiant populations.The delivery of agro-pastoral equipment and inputs, with a total value of more than 104 billion FCFA, aims to provide our brave producers with substantial means to achieve food self-sufficiency.The laying of the foundation stone of the cashew apple processing plant and the veterinary medicine manufacturing unit is also the materialization of our vision of a Burkina Faso moving towards true industrialization.”

In the Capital City of the West African country, Ouagadougou, Captain Traore said, “a considerable logistical allocation worth more than 6 billion FCFA” was received by the Brigade of Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland.

He told his “compatriots, all these investments and acquisitions are the fruit of your civic commitment, through your contributions to the Patriotic Support Fund and the payment of various taxes and duties.”

Captain Traore further made known: “At the same time, in Ouagadougou, the Brigade of Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland received a considerable logistical allocation worth more than 6 billion FCFA.Dear compatriots, all these investments and acquisitions are the fruit of your civic commitment, through your contributions to the Patriotic Support Fund and the payment of various taxes and duties.I therefore congratulate all the sons and daughters of Burkina Faso as well as the diaspora for this patriotic surge and this determination to build, together, a new society.”
