2023 Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has expressed heartbreak following “the news of the attack on a military base in the Marte Local Government Area of Borno State, which resulted in the loss of our courageous soldiers.”
The former Vice President said, “We must take more decisive actions that will not just scale down the aggression by militants, but also restore peace to our country.”
Atiku (X/@atiku) said: “I am heartbroken by the news of the attack on a military base in the Marte Local Government Area of Borno State, which resulted in the loss of our courageous soldiers. Their bravery and sacrifice in the face of terror will always be remembered.
“My thoughts and prayers are with their families and other service men and women. We must take more decisive actions that will not just scale down the aggression by militants, but also promote an economy that gives hope to our young ones and restore peace to our country.”
