President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu met the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Anambra State Gubernatorial Election 2025, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, alongside his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON, alongside other prominent members of the ‘Broom’ Party were in attendance as the President presented Ukachukwu and Ekwunife the Party’s flag.
The Anambra State Governorship Election 2025 is scheduled to take place on SaturdayNovember 8, 2025.
President Tinubu who visited Anambra State some days ago, has been handed the go-ahead to run as the Party’s Presidential candidate for a second term in the 2027 Election after review of the President’s achievements by the Party’s hierarchy.
The President said, the APC has no plans to convert Nigeria to a one-party State, saying, “it is not suitable for democracy”; he however, added, “you don’t expect people to remain in a sinking ship without a life jacket”.
