On World Malaria Day 2025, Friday 25 April, 2025, President and Founder of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, said, “let us reinvest our resources now to end malaria in our time.”
According to who.int:
World Malaria Day is an occasion to highlight the need for continued investment and sustained political commitment for malaria prevention and control. It was instituted by WHO Member States during the World Health Assembly of 2007.
Via a statement, Dangote said, “malaria has remained one of the most persistent health challenges in Nigeria, claiming precious lives, stalling productivity, and placing a heavy burden on our health system. But we must rememmber Malaria is preventable treatable and above all, beatable.”
